Tech House

€16.60 · including VAT where applicable

A snapshot of UK tech house in its formative years, OLC002 finds Rob Pearson laying down the blueprint for a sound he would continue to refine through Evasive Records. Released on Online Collective, the label arm of South London’s Online Studios, this EP captures a raw, forward-facing moment in underground dance music.

Slipstream leads with tight tech drums, chopped breakbeats, weighty sub bass and warped melodic textures. Vortex channels early Detroit techno through a South London lens, while Metaphor taps into early bleep and warehouse house with late-’90s tech house swing. Metaphor (Bonus Beats) rounds things off as a pure DJ tool.
