By 2005, Drugsex Recordings had firmly established its own identity within the tech house scene, providing a platform for deeper sounds for the heads while also pushing peak-time cuts. For the label’s fourth release, founder Rob Pearson teamed up with Chris Pascoe after friendship and collaboration grew naturally through the underground party scene.

One More Time is a beautifully balanced meeting of two production styles, combining Pearson’s rolling grooves with Pascoe’s musicality and deep, understated funk. On the flip, Pearson takes centre stage with Shadow Maker: deep, hypnotic and effortlessly understated, with tight percussion, warm analogue textures and a groove built for long nights on discerning dancefloors.
